Back 2 School :
SANZAF’s Back-to-School campaign is facilitates the supply of essential school supplies, uniforms, and resources, such initiatives remove barriers to learning, fostering long-term positive impacts on the lives of children, their families, and the community at large. Every year, SANZAF Port Elizabeth provides students in need with the necessary stationary needs for school and Mardressa while laso providing clothes for those who cannot afford uniforms etc.
Food Security :
SANZAF has consistently dedicated itself to combating food insecurity through a variety of interconnected programs designed to improve and empower communities across South Africa. Among these endeavours is the commitment to addressing the essential requirement for nutrition and alleviating hunger among the most disadvantaged.
SANZAF Port Elizabeth coordinates monthly activities such as :
Soup Kitchen - SANZAF provides sponsored Madaris around PE with ingredients to produce meals for the children in the areas that they are in.
Monthly Food Hampers – Monthly distribution of food hampers to disadvantaged families
Skills Development:
Skills development is integral to empowering individuals by enhancing their employability and fostering economic independence. By providing training and education in various fields, SANZAF equips people with the tools needed to secure sustainable livelihoods, breaking the cycle of poverty and contributing to overall community development.

Career Day – SANZAF PE hosts an annual event in which matrics and students from disadvantaged communities get the opportunity to learn more about tertiary institutions, bursary programs and get guidance for their future career paths.
Fundraising:
Fundraising is a crucial as it enables SANZAF to secure financial resources necessary to implement impactful projects and initiatives that directly benefit individuals and communities in need. These funds support vital programs such as healthcare, education, and social services, allowing NGOs to make a meaningful and sustainable difference in the lives of those they aim to assist. SANZAF PE hosts events such as the annual High Tea event which celebrates women while also serves as a fundraiser for essential projects and programmes.
Women Empowerment:
Women empowerment projects are pivotal to fostering gender equality, providing women with the tools, education, and opportunities needed to overcome societal challenges and contribute meaningfully to their communities. By addressing issues such as education, economic independence, and social empowerment, these projects create a ripple effect, positively impacting not only individual women but also promoting overall societal progress and development.
SANZAF Port Elizabeth facilitates this through their Women in Business initiative which is a project in which the office provides local business women the opportunity to network and attend a business workshop focussed on how to market and grow their respected businesses.
Dawah:
The act of conveying the message of Islam, is crucial in Islam as it aligns with the belief that spreading the knowledge of God's guidance is a fundamental responsibility for Muslims. Through dawah, Muslims aim to share the principles of Islam, promote understanding, and invite others to embrace the faith, contributing to the broader Islamic mission of fostering spiritual growth and unity among humanity. SANZAF’s Revert Program sponsors the Islamic education of reverts and provides transportation to and from Islamic classes.
Hajj:
Greeting those embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage is important in Islam as it reflects a sense of community and solidarity, acknowledging the spiritual significance of their journey. Offering warm greetings not only expresses support for their sacred endeavour but also emphasizes the interconnectedness of the Muslim Ummah, reinforcing a bond of brotherhood and sisterhood among believers. SANZAF hosts the send-off and welcome of the hujaj here in Port Elizabeth.
