Bismillahir-Rahman ar-Rahim. Alhamdulillahi wa salatu wa salamu ‘ala Rasulillah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Alhamdulillah, all praise and gratitude are due to Allah (SWT), Lord of the Worlds. It is by His divine mercy and guidance that we are granted the opportunity to serve His creation through the noble institution of SANZAF. We ask Allah (SWT) to keep us sincere, to guide our efforts and to accept this work as a means of attaining His pleasure.
I extend my heartfelt Shukran to my fellow trustees for their trust in appointing me as National Chairperson. This role is not one of privilege, but one of responsibility and service, an Amanah that I carry with humility and a deep sense of duty.
SANZAF has always stood as a testament to what is possible when faith meets action. Our vision is not just to alleviate poverty but to transform lives, restoring dignity, enabling opportunity and fostering hope within our communities. Zakah is not only a pillar of Islam, it is a divine mechanism for social justice. When discharged correctly, it uplifts the vulnerable and purifies the wealth of the giver.
One of our core priorities remains ensuring that both our financial audits and Shariah compliance processes meet the highest standards both in the eyes of the public and most importantly, before Allah (SWT). Upholding this dual accountability is essential to maintaining trust, transparency and spiritual integrity.
As we reflect on our journey, we are reminded that SANZAF’s legacy is rooted in collective effort of those who give, those who serve and those who lead. We are blessed to inherit 50 years of commitment, excellence and with Allah (SWT)’s permission, we aim to build upon this foundation with renewed energy and vision.
May Allah (SWT) continue to guide SANZAF, strengthen our unity and make our efforts a source of upliftment for the Ummah. May He grant us the sincerity and steadfastness to serve with compassion, purpose and Ihsaan.
Wa alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘alamin.
