Audited Financial Statements 25/26

Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm.

All praise is due to Allah (SWT) and peace and blessings be upon our beloved Nabi Muḥammad (SAW).

It is with gratitude and humility that SANZAF presents its Integrated Report and Audited Financial Statements for the past year.

This has been a year of meaningful progress, disciplined stewardship and deepened impact, made possible through the continued trust of our donors, the dedication of our teams and the mercy of Allah (SWT).

We are pleased to present a strong and healthy set of financial results, reflecting continued donor confidence and the enduring power of Zakah as a means of social upliftment. In a challenging social and economic environment, where many families continue to face hardship, rising living costs and increased vulnerability, SANZAF remained steadfast in its responsibility to serve as a trusted custodian of Zakah, Sadaqah and other charitable contributions.

Allah (SWT) reminds us in the Quran:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah (SWT) is like a seed that grows seven ears; in every ear are one hundred grains. And Allah (SWT) multiplies for whom He wills.”

Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:261

This verse captures the essence of our work. Every contribution entrusted to SANZAF is more than a donation; it is an Amaanah. It becomes sustenance for a family, support for a student, relief for the distressed, dignity for the vulnerable and opportunity for those striving towards self-reliance.

Through our commitment to relieving hardship, preserving dignity and creating pathways towards empowerment, SANZAF has strengthened its impact across welfare, food security, education, development and community-based initiatives. These results are not only reflected in the financial statements, but in the lives touched and the communities supported through our programmes.

This year’s performance reflects disciplined management, sound governance, strategic resilience and the dedication of our teams across the country. It also reflects the trust that donors continue to place in SANZAF as an organisation rooted in the Quran and Sunnah, committed to transparency, accountability and responsible distribution.

The strength of these results places SANZAF in a solid position to sustain its impact and invest with confidence in future priorities. Looking ahead, our focus is to expand sustainable development programmes, invest further in youth and education, improve digital systems, strengthen impact measurement and deepen our ability to respond to communities with dignity, compassion and care.

While welfare relief remains essential, SANZAF’s long-term vision is to continue building pathways from relief to empowerment. We recognise that the true power of Zakah lies not only in meeting immediate need, but in helping individuals and families move towards stability, resilience and independence. In doing so, we contribute towards stronger households, stronger communities and, ultimately, a stronger society.

The Messenger of Allah (SWT) said:

"Charity does not decrease wealth."

Sahih Muslim 2588

This hadith reminds us that giving is never a loss. When wealth is given sincerely for the pleasure of Allah (SWT), it purifies, uplifts and multiplies benefit in ways that extend beyond what we can measure.

On behalf of the Trustees and leadership of SANZAF, I extend our heartfelt shukran to our donors, Ulama, beneficiaries, partners, Trustees, staff, volunteers and regional teams. Your trust, service and commitment continue to make this sacred work possible. May Allah (SWT) reward every contribution, every effort and every sincere intention.

Guided by the Quran and Sunnah, SANZAF remains committed to serving with integrity, accountability and excellence. We will continue to protect the Amanah entrusted to us, strengthen our governance, deepen our impact and serve humanity for the pleasure of Allah (SWT).
