Nourishing Communities, Spreading Joy

Qurbani

We are proud to share the results of our 2024 Qurbani campaign. Shukran to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers, we've been able to make a significant impact in communities across South Africa. Let's dive into the numbers that showcase the breadth of our reach and the depth of our impact.

Feeding the Hungry, Fulfilling a Sacred Duty

This year, our Qurbani campaign touched the lives of countless individuals in 276 areas and communities. These ranged from urban neighbourhoods to remote rural settlements, ensuring that the blessings of Qurbani reached far and wide.

Distributing Hope, One Parcel at a Time

We distributed an impressive 58 496 parcels of fresh Qurbani meat. Each parcel represented not just sustenance, but also the spirit of sharing and caring that defines the Islamic tradition of Qurbani.

Sharing Blessings

Our campaign facilitated 6 456 shares of Qurbani. Each share represents a donor's contribution, allowing them to fulfil their religious obligation while helping those in need.

Kilograms of Kindness

In total, we distributed 140 289 kg of Qurbani meat. This substantial amount ensured that families across the country could enjoy nutritious meals during the days of Eid al-Adha and beyond.

Meals That Matter

The impact of our campaign can be measured in meals: 1,402,890 meals to be exact. Each meal represents a moment of joy, a respite from hunger, and a tangible expression of community support.

Beyond the Numbers

While these statistics are impressive, they only tell part of the story. Behind each number is a human story - a family enjoying a hearty meal, a child experiencing the joy of Eid, or a community coming together to share in the blessings of Qurbani.

Our Qurbani campaign is more than just distributing meat, it's about fostering a sense of unity, alleviating hunger and spreading hope. It's about embodying the Islamic principles of compassion and charity and making a real difference in people's lives.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We extend our deepest gratitude to all our donors, volunteers, and staff who made this campaign a success. Your contributions, whether through donations, time or effort, have helped bring smiles to countless faces and warmth to many homes.
