Farewell Madiba from SANZAF

6 December 2013

The South African National Zakah Fund (SANZAF) expresses our most sincere condolences to the Mandela family on the passing on of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

The distinguished leader, extraordinary patriot and icon devoted his life to the benefit of South Africa, inspiring millions across the world.

Tata Madiba left a legacy compared to none; he championed the cause for freedom and conscientized the struggle for social justice and dignity to all humanity.

The veteran struggle stalwart believed in self-empowerment and called for an educated society. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Mandela, throughout his 27 years of incarceration maintained his vision to combat destitution and free South Africa from injustice and inequality.

"Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life. While poverty persists, there is no true freedom."

... From God We Come and to God is our Return. Hamba Kahle Tata from SANZAF.
