VAT, Tax Savings, BBBEE & SETA Accreditation If you have read the previous editions of Az-Zakah or visited our web-site then you will be familiar with our entrepreneurship training programme. This is one of the services through which we intend to empower our recipients, in this case “would-be” entrepreneurs, so that they have the necessary skills and resources to look after themselves, independently!

Alhumdulillah, SANZAF has been awarded SETA accreditation for our entrepreneurship training programme. This confirms, amongst other things, that the training offered by SANZAF is compliant with legislations and regulations, such as being BBBEE compliant and having a clean tax record. It also means that our programme is aligned and benchmarked against industry standards and that SANZAF has credibility as a training organization.

In a nutshell, SETA accreditation means that SANZAF’s entrepreneurship programme is deemed to be quality assured by an independent third party!

Did you know?

Donors now have an added incentive to give to SANZAF.

1) VAT Refunds: SANZAF claims back and re-circulates the VAT we pay.

2) Donations Tax: Donors can claim up to10% of their taxable income against the value of their donations to SANZAF

3) BBBEE Points: Donors can earn SED and ED points against the donations they make to SANZAF.

In fact, because of SANZAF’s Entrepreneurship Programme, SANZAF is currently the only Muslim NGO that can offer ED points for BBBEE!

After a nail biting final Nadia Saud mother of three from Stellenbosch, Cape Town took the honours and was afforded the opportunity to perform her sacred Fard Hajj with her husband Fozi Mustafa, overwhelmed with emotion, she expressed her gratitude to both SANZAF and Khidmatul Awaam.
