Asalaamu ‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

RE: GRATITUDE: OPERATION QURBANI 2008

All praise due to Allah (SWT), the Cherisher, and Sustainer of the Worlds.

The overwhelming support of the ‘Ummah has resulted in the tremendous success of this project both locally and outside the borders of South Africa. It is the mark of humility that grants the ‘Ummah of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) nobility in this world and in the Hereafter.

Alhumdullilah! Through your natural expression of homage and gratitude to Allah (SWT) by the fulfilment of the obligatory duty of caring and sharing as propounded by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) the ‘Ummah have accomplished a great spiritual, moral and social dictate as outlined in  the Qur’an and Sunnah, May Allah (SWT) crown the efforts of the ‘Ummah.

SANZAF extends its sincere appreciation to the ‘Ummah for their selfless participation in the ‘ SANZAF’s 2008 Operation Qurbani Project ’ on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. The benevolence and generosity of the ‘Ummah has benefited the underprivileged in our country as well as the neighbouring states such as Malawi and Mozambique. Over two decades ago, SANZAF had undertaken an extensive review of  the socio-economic conditions prevalent in several Southern African countries. Owing especially to the prevalent poverty stricken conditions in Malawi and Mozambique, SANZAF adopted ‘Operation Qurbani’ as one of its major annual national projects in these countries. Special mention must be made of the altruistic commitment of several SANZAF staff, executive and voluntary members , spearheading   Operation Qurbani Project in Malawi and Mozambique for over twenty two years, Alhumdulillah. May the Almighty accept the Niyah of  those who had undertaken ‘Qurbani ’, and the SANZAF team for undertaking this great Amanah and for fulfilling it admirably year after year, Alhumdulillah.   

To the Ummah, we admire also your practical application of the following Hadith of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

The best human being is the one who is most beneficial to other human beings. (Bukhari)

May Allah (SWT) shower his Mercy and Benediction upon the “Ummah for their wilful submission, their spirit of sacrifice and profound benevolence,  Ameen.
