The Nqileni Village in the Eastern Cape is, according to Statistics SA, located in the poorest area in the country. The community has no road, no running water, no clinic, no electricity and no ablution facilities. It once had a humble school building but this collapsed in December 2007. Because of SANZAF’s commitment to helping the poor, we have partnered with this project to help build a rural school of excellence. Construction has already begun on an environmentally-friendly building, creating employment for the local community, and giving hope to the learners who are currently taught outside, without desks, chairs or shade. Now we need your help!
